Who are you?
My name is John Bianchi and I turn around veterinary businesses that are in trouble or simply not doing as well as they could be.
How do you do that?
I do not have a cookie-cutter approach. Every small business is different, and while there are certain fundamentals that apply to any business, I do not believe that a business can be helped without first looking at the situation. Anyone who says differently is selling a one-size-fits-all solution that may or may not apply to your business.
Therefore, the first thing I do in each and every case is speak to the owner of the business and discuss what’s going on. Most importantly, we discuss what the goals of the company and its owner are and what’s been done to try to achieve those goals. I will take a look at any pertinent statistics, tour the site or sites, interview key personnel and determine whether or not I will be able to help the owner and company achieve their goals. If not, I will let the owner know what I believe it will take to accomplish what he is seeking to accomplish, but that we am not equipped (for whatever reason) to do this for them.
If I see that we can be of assistance, I will make a proposal that includes both the expected timeline and the cost and, if agreeable, we go to work. Up to this point you have not spent a cent with my company.
Why should I call you?
Because you have nothing to lose. At the very worst, you will spend a few hours looking at your business with someone from the outside who has a ton of business experience and getting some free advice on what it may take to accomplish your goals.
At the best, you may end up with a consultant who helps you to remove the barriers to your goals and put in place those elements that have been missing and, by their omission, keeping you from the success you have been struggling to achieve.
